Stacey Schettkoe
Hastings
knew from the age of 12 that she wanted
to dedicate her life to horses. She was first introduced to dressage
as a 17 year-old when she saw the Kingdom of Dancing Stallions show
in California that featured a troupe of Andalusian stallions, and she
was struck by the precision, discipline and beauty of dressage. Dressage
became the guiding force in Stacey's life, and for more than 20 years
she has vigorously pursued her dreams in the sport of dressage.
Stacey
Hastings education in dressage has been influenced most significantly
by her trainer and coach of 20 years, Olympic Dressage team bronze medallist
Michael Poulin. She has also been fortunate enough to study with other
international caliber trainers such as Rudolf Zeilinger, Lars Petersen,
Dietrich von Hopfgarten, Gunnar Ostergaard, and Kenneth Dyrby and many
others.
Stacey
has trained and competed a number of horses through the FEI levels
during her career, and has had many successful students as well. She
